Fannie Mae Jackson Copeland, affectionately known as "Granny", passed away in Tampa, FL at the age of 86. Fannie was born on December 19, 1937, in Edison, GA, to the late Henry James Sr. & Maggie Jackson. She was the oldest of eight children, 5 of whom preceded her in death. (Sisters: Molly Jackson, Irma Reid. Brothers: Eugene Jackson, Henry James Jackson Jr. and Jim Jackson). She spent her formative years in the Edison, GA School System, where she cultivated a foundation of knowledge and kindness that would characterize her entire life.

Fannie's professional career was a testament to her dedication and work ethic, as she made significant contributions to Triangle Services Inc. at Tampa International Airport. Her colleagues remember her as a pillar of strength and a source of wisdom within the workplace. Fannie's commitment to her job was paralleled only by her involvement in various associations, where she served with grace and enthusiasm.

Beyond her professional life, Fannie was a woman of many interests and talents. Her love for cooking was renowned among family and friends, who often gathered around her kitchen table to savor her delicious creations. Singing was another of Fannie's passions, and her melodious voice could frequently be heard lifting praises to God, a practice that deeply enriched her faith-filled life. "Mother Copeland" thoroughly enjoyed attending Gospel and Quartet singing programs across the state of Florida. Her warmth and radiant spirit were gifts to all who knew her.

Fannie was married to the late Deacon Clarence Copeland Jr for 46 years with whom she shared 17 children, 6 of whom preceded her in death. She was a devoted member of Saint Matthews M.B. Church under the leadership of several pastors including the late Reverend G.E. Edwards. Saint Matthews later became New Saint Matthews M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. W.J. Haynes Sr. and later Rev. Alec F Hall where she served for many years as a Deaconess, a member of the choir, Women's Ministry, Sunday School board and a host of other ministries. Fannie regularly attended services at New Direction Ministry under the leadership of Dr. Patricia Hauser for the last few years prior to her passing.

Fannie leaves to cherish her memory: Her loving children: Clarence Jackson, Patricia Randall (Reginald), Shirley Golden, Linda Copeland and Cheryl Copeland. Bonus Children: Elder Ozzie Horton (Cheryl), Irma Wiggins, Geneva Copeland, Shirley Black (Rev Lloyd Black), Leola Green (John), and Gail Boles. Her beloved siblings and in laws: Mamie Manning (James) and John Jackson, Janice Williams (Reginald), Christina Copeland, Mae Catherine Jackson, Mae West Jackson, Johnny Lee Reid, JC Copeland, Billy Joe Copeland, Alphonso Williams (Carrie), and Janis Copeland. Grandchildren: Seletha, Trenika, Angela (Alphonso), India, Derrick, Gerald, Ebony, Ashley, Vernon, Paul (Monica), Kerence, Ryan, Geoffrey (Teresa), DeAndre, Zeatrick, Darcelia, Asia, Trinika, and Josh. Great-Grandchildren: Jade, Charles, Shauntell, Jailyn, Amaya, Aysia, Zaryah, Samyah, Geoffrey Jr., Ajha, Aaliyah, Zaire, Davani, Damari and Jaxn. Great-Great Grandchildren: Dasanii and Sunjaie, as well as a host of additional grands, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Those who knew Fannie would describe her as the epitome of love and generosity. Her actions spoke volumes of her desire to give and care for others, and her faith was the cornerstone upon which she built her life. Her presence was a beacon of hope and joy, and her legacy is one of unwavering love and devotion to her beliefs.

As we bid farewell to our beloved Granny, we celebrate the remarkable life of Fannie Mae Jackson Copeland. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her. Her spirit, characterized by loving kindness and a deep-seated faith, will continue to inspire and guide us.

Fannie's journey on earth may have come to a close, but the essence of who she was will forever resonate with those who cherished her. We take solace in knowing that her legacy of love and generosity will live on, just as the memories of her will remain a comforting presence in our lives.Though she has departed from this world, the impact of her remarkable life will never fade.
