Obituary

Homegoing service for Ms. Faye Lujean Burgess of Tampa who passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, will be held Saturday, March 14th, 11:00 a.m. at Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ, 2617 E. 24th Ave., Dr. David P. Criswell, pastor, with Elder Willie Williams, presiding. The interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Faye Lujean Burgess was born October 7, 1950 in Tampa, Florida to the late Bernard Morris, Sr. and Mary Morris. Ms. Burgess was a born again Christian, being added to the body of Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ, where she served as an assistant shepherd Mother. Her passion was her church where she served faithfully until her health began to fail. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Morris, Sr., daughter, Mary Morris, 2 sisters, Paulette Patterson and Pearlie Mae Johnson and 2 brothers, Ronald and Willie James Morris. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted mother, Mary E. Morris; daughters, Belinda Morris, Tampa and Rhonda Morris Jenkins (Kenny), Ft. Lauderdale; 2 granddaughters, Kendra and Dominique Jenkins; 2 grandsons, Anthony Williams and Kenny Jenkins III; great grandchildren, Alayna Thomas, Bryce and Caden Williams, Tyree and Travis Miranda; 1 brother, Bernard Morris, Jr.; nephews, Johnnie Aaron Roderick (Charmaine), Willie (Roseanne) and Keith Morris and James (Marie) Patterson; nieces, Yolanda Morris, Patrena Barr, Betty (Terry) Dixon, Ebony and Cheisa Morris and Rosalind Young; aunt, Martha Thompson; cousins, Joseph Williams, Raymond (Lucille) Williams, Constance (Jerome) Cummings, Phyllis (Jesse) Lawrence, Reginald Thompson, Sharon Thompson, Greg Williams, Dwight Williams, Sabrina Williams, Tonyata Thompson, Kaya Lawrence, Andrea (Calvin) Jackson and Tony Wimberly; and a host of other family members and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 13th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
