Homegoing services for Mrs. Fayethorne Edwards 3003 Emma Street, who passed away, Wednesday, December 1, 2010, will be held Tuesday, December 7th, 11:00 a.m., Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, with Rev. Eric Gallmon, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Fayethorne Edwards was born on April 2, 1923. Her greatest love was for all the children. She taught unity and organization, as well as self sufficiency through suffrage. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin P. Edwards; son, Franklin P. Edwards, Jr.; mother, Netta Clarke Curry; and father, Joseph Dunshee. She leaves to cherish her memories, her brother, Leroy Curry; sister, Julia Roberts; nieces, Margaret Williams (Clifton), Alice Roberts, Olivia Hamilton (Alfred), Verna Warren (Leonard), Tia Rodriguez (Caleb) and Gloria Moore; nephews, Albert Curry, Jr., Earl Roberts, Sr. (Dolores), Hillary Curry, Ralph Roberts, I. (Pamela) and Rev. William M. Means (Pamela); great nieces, Lathorne Gallmon, Deena Kinsey, Tressa Jones, LaTasha Oliver, Shayla Warren, Anissa Pickett, Jessica Kinsey, Netta Roberts, Kourtney Berry, Brittany Wiggs, and Jansen Kinsey; great nephews, Clifton Williams, Jr, Earl Roberts, Jr., Jeffrey Barker, Ryan Massey, Derricka Latson, Alfred Hamilton, Jr., Brandon Hamilton, Leonard Warren, Jr., Ralph Roberts, II, Anthony Roberts and Jordan Kinsey. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Monday, December 6th from 12-4:30 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Chapel at 10:45 a.m. for the service on Tuesday.
