A homegoing celebration for Mr. Frank Augustine Stokes, Sr. of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 will be held Saturday, January 20th at 2:00 p.m at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Pastor Deano Eliam, pastor of Shekinah Harvest Break Through officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Frank A. Stokes, Sr. was born September 19, 1927, to the late George and Emily Stokes in St. Vincent, West Indies. Frank was loving husband, father, grandfather and good friend he was an all-around good man. He moved to Tampa, Florida later in life where he met his wife Hattie Mae Stokes. Frank enjoyed spending time with family, playing dominoes and fishing. He was a truck driver for many of years, where he retired from Amcon 'Tarmac'. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Emily Stokes; sister, Caroline Stokes; brothers, Robert and Vincent nephews, Lenox Bonnie and Lawrence Stokes. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his wife, Hattie Mae Stokes; children, Bernard Russell, Frank, Jr., Rena Celerin (Chaptal), Caroline (Grover Cochrane), Karl (Luvene), Kathy, Lisa Stokes-Reeves (Harold), Ken, Roslyn, Marcus, Cheryl and Morris; grandchildren, Darious, Nakesia, De'Andre, Sr., Johniece, Johnathan, Ashley, Caleb (Kristina) Frank III, La'Chrisha, Joshua, Devin, Zaina, Cierra and Zoi; great grandchildren, Erica, Ricardo, Charles IV., Harmony, Ashton, De'Andre Jr., Chole, Isaiah, Hadassah, Hannah and Leah; nieces, Ena (Leland), Mercedes, Erica, Yvette, Sonya, Lavern and Patricia; nephews, Terry, Emerol, Elson, Michael, Marcus, Roland, Wilford, Brian and Lewis; goddaughter, Elaine Jackson and family; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Jasper, Wendell Robinson, Eddie De'Jesus, Raymond Lee and Issac Sebadduka. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, January 19th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
