Funeral services for Mrs. Frankie Rose DuPree of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016, will be held on Wednesday, July 27th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Pastor Walker Crawford, officiating. The interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Frankie Rose DuPree was born in Tampa, Florida on September 15, 1949 to the late Clarence Mitchell, Sr. and Ethel E. Borders. She was educated in the schools of Hillsborough County. She graduated from Middleton Senior High School, class of 1967. She enjoyed going to church and caring for her family. She was a member of The Pentecostal Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clarence Mitchell, Jr.; sister, Doris Ann Blocker and son, Eric D. DuPree. She leaves to cherish her memories with her husband of 49 years, Henry Lee DuPree, Sr.; children; Angelique J. DuPree (Larry A. Johnson, Jr.), Henry L. DuPree, Jr., Elton Christopher DuPree and Nathlie E. Dixon; grandchildren, Jasmine R., Brandon D., Kourthe A. and Cydne B. Steele, TaJuan A. DuPree and Ebonee N. Dixon; great grandchildren, Princess E. Hall and Jaselah A. Dixon; brothers, Ben E. Mitchell and Rodney Williams; sisters, Bettie M. McDaniels (Elton D.), Minnie L. Mitchell, Osa Russell, Beverly Bass Smith and Willa M. Thomas; nieces, Janice DuPree, Daphine Dixon and a host of other nieces; nephew, Brian Mitchell and a host of other nephews; special friends, Starla Williams, Linda Fogarty, Ramona Broyles, Ivy Branch, Leon and Gene Atkins, Chasity and Barbara Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Wednesday for the service.
