Funeral Services for Mr. Franklin D. Harvis, of 5013 S. 87th St. (Progressive Village), who passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008, will be held Friday, December 5th, 11:00 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd. with Bro. Oscar English officiating. Interment will take place in Orange Hill Cemetery. Mr. Harvis was born September 4, 1937 in Pike County, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysess G. Harvis and Eula C. Smith. He leaves to cherish fond memories with: his spouse, Ruth Harvis; children, Devodrick Harvis of Jacksonville, FL, Roosevelt Harvis, Vickie Harvis, Jammie Harvis, Eric K. Harvis, Elaine Harvis and Frankie Harvis all of Los Angeles, CA, Michael Harvis of Tampa, FL and Willie Frank Harvis of Enterprise, AL; brothers, Coda Harvis and wife, Trish of Tines Fall, NJ; J.T. Harvis and wife, Hattie of Troy, AL and Robert Harvis and wife, Christine of Tampa, FL; sisters, Minnie Smith and husband, Lawrence of Augusta, GA, Odessa Summey and husband, Edward and Shirlene Thompson, all of Tampa, FL, Rogena Carter of Red Bank, NJ, Wilma Johnson and husband, James of Orlando, FL and Eula Murray, of Tampa, FL; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other sorrowing relatives and friends. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home Thursday from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the chapel approximately 10:45 a.m. Friday for the service.
