Celebration of Life services for Mr. Franklin "Big Dukes" Deon Wesley Robinson of Tampa who passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 11:00 a.m. at Grace Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 3901 N. 37th Street, Elder Dr. Thomas J. Reed, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Franklin was born February 5, 1987 in Tampa, Florida. Franklin converted at an early age and was baptized at Grace Mary Missionary Baptist Church. He attended the local schools of Hillsborough County graduating from Blake High School. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, barbering, providing security services, dancing, and making people smile; he loved spending time with his children and truly appreciated life. Franklin was an Armed Security and Youth Detention Officer. He was preceded in death by family members, Frank and Rosa Black, Hardy Mungin, Elder Ronald Fields, Willianna Wright, Eugene Mungin and Sabrina Harris. He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Nekeisha Smith-Robinson; children, Zatavieion, Diyamond, Gloria, Kendall, Kavon, Chance and Franklin, Jr.; parents, Katrina and Eddie Green, John and Mattie Robinson, Dorothy and Robert Ghant and Darryl and Nellen Smith; grandparents, Mary Hatchett, Vinson Hatchett, Alfonza Harris and Edwina Fields; godparents, Elder Jimmy and Dorothy Blake and Elder Richard Wright; brothers, John Jenkins, Jr. (Melodi), Cornelius Hatchett (Ashley) and Desmin Smith; godbrothers, Tyrone "Tai" Rosson and Darrius Pugh; sisters, Raven, Zasde Robinson-Fla, Britney Durham Williams (Kevin) of Georgia and Nekia Calhoun; godsisters, Gwendella Wright-Pugh (Ferris), Richelle Wright, Monica Wright-McCoy (John); aunts, Evangela Anderson, Selena Harris, Felecia Manning, Teddie Thomas and Traci Barner; uncles, Phil Anderson, Dan Mathis III, and Ronald Fields; nephews, Daysion Lewis, David Denson, John Jenkins III, Jon'Quez Jenkins-FL, Cornelius Hatchett, Jr.- DC, Joni Williams of Georgia, Deshawn Calhoun and Javon Sam; nieces, Daysia Wood, Ariyana Hatchett of DC, Saree, Jaeda, Kmari Durham, Kyhla Williams of Georgia, Kyara Taylor and Jasmine Sam; cousins, Daryl and Kenneth Anderson, Dannisha Mathis, Danielle Mathis, Danbrinae Mathis, Ashley Harris, Terrell Denmark and Amoni Harris; other relatives and special friends, Jermaine Burton, Jaron Reeves, Reggie Leggon, Kristopher and Bryon Freeman, Eagle One and Gladiators Security Agency; and a host of great aunts, uncles and cousins. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, November 7th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
