Obituary

A celebration of life for Rev. Fred L. Triplett of Seffner, who passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016, will be held on Saturday, July 2nd, 2:00 p.m. at First M.B. Church of Seffner, 6720 County Rd 579, Rev. Nathaniel Love, pastor officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Fred L. Triplett son of the late James and Susie Triplett was born on December 15, 1922 in Wakulla County, Florida. He was educated in the schools of Wakulla County. He also attended FAMU. He was employed by the State of Ohio, while in Dayton and by the City of Tampa. He received Christ at an early age at Thessalonia Missionary Baptist Church. Upon being ordained as a minister, he pastored in Indiana and Dayton. Upon returning to Florida he pastored Loving Hill, Ebenezer, and Macedonia Churches. He served in the military for 2 years, where he received the World War II victory medal. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Waldon Triplett, Willis Triplett and Roosevelt Triplett and sister, Tessie Miller. Rev. Fred Triplett leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Gloria Triplett; sons, Devon Triplett (Brazelle) and Min. Brandon Triplett (Lamia); grandchildren, Naquae and Derion Triplett, Raykayla Wright, Kalani Harris, Jahmari Williams, Ammyah, Miriah, Keyah and Kameyah Triplett; brother, Deacon Preston Triplett (Lillie); sister-in-law, Genevieve Triplett; brother-in-law, Carey Grant (Claudett); and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at First M.B. Church of Seffner on Friday, July 1st, from 5-7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
