Ms. Freddie Mae was born November 24, 1944, to Freddie and Elizabeth Dukes. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Rickey and Thelonious Smith and brothers, Jimmy, and Steve Dukes. She attended Middleton High School and later pursued a career in the nursing field.

She leaves to cherish her memory; daughters, Veronica Smith, Cherrie Smith-Calloway, Bennita Smith and Shannon Smith; grandchildren, April Smith, Melissa Smith, Sevwane Smith (Ashley), Rickey Smith Jr. (Misha) Jennifer Smith, Brandin Vance and fiance (Mary Carmen Vera), Shannon Smith Jr, Imani Smith, Ashley Hall, Derrick Smith, and Derreon Smith; great-grandchildren, Jaylen Brown, Carlos Battle, Savannah Smith, Ava Smith, Camelia Powells, Camio Powell; brother, Lundy Dukes; sister, Beverly Dukes Lewis; nieces, Tracy Lewis Green (John Green), and Jessica Matthews; nephew, Ronald Lewis (Sherria); and a host of loving relatives and friends.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Thursday September 9th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery for the graveside service on Saturday. We are following the CDC guidelines.
