Homegoing celebration for Mr. Freddie Thomas Jr. of Tampa, who passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 2p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, and Rev. Henry Byron officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Fred was born on August 9, 1959 in Tampa, Florida. He was the proud father of 3 children. Freddie worked in landscaping and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Thomas Sr. Freddie leaves to cherish his memories with his children, Freddie Thomas III, Jerrell Thomas and Mahogany Thomas; grandchildren, Aliyiah Thomas and Jazmin Thomas; mother, Ruby Thomas; brother, Dennard Thomas (fiancee Susan Hunter); sister, Carla Thomas; half-sisters, Michelle Thomas, Vickie Conyers (Frank); aunts, Elouise Byron (Henry), Hattie Mae Stokes (Frank) and Jimmie Johns (Bill) of Las Vegas, NV; uncle, Willie Terrell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; nieces, Tashika Clark and Shayla Thomas; nephews, Cedric Gilchrist and Limart Gilchrist; cousins, Bernard Stokes, Frank Stokes, Jr., Carl Stokes, Marcia Hair, Sallye Byron Pierre-Louis, Pat Byron, Marlene Marshall, Cathy Stokes, Caroline Stokes, Renee Stokes and Lisa Stokes; great nieces, Michaela Clark, Monteria Gilchrist and Demaria'a Gilchrist; great nephews, Michael Clark, Limart Gilchrist, Jr., Cedric Gilchrist Jr. and Montrey Gilchrist; and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, January 18, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
