Homegoing services for Mr. Freddie Mitchell, "Schaeffer" of Tampa who passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015, will be held Saturday, February 7th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Cleveland Lane, officiating. Freddie was born on January 26, 1935 in Pelham, Georgia. He is survived by his wife, Christine Mitchell; sons, Freddie Mitchell, Jr. (Tecie) and Michael Johnson (Michaelia); daughters, Brenda Hammond and Phyllis Mitchell (Sterling); grandchildren, Tasha Brown, Rechece Mitchell, Ahmad Mitchell, Patrice Williams, Freddie Mitchell, Jr., Brandon Mitchell, Fernisha Mitchell, Joshua Bynum, Clifford Mitchell, Larita Troutman and Michael Johnson, Jr.; great grandchildren, devoted great granddaughter, Jocelyn Hall, Devin L. Hall, Frederick Mitchell, LaCoya Carter and Sharne Robinson; brother-in-law, Ernest Johnson; special friend, Vanessa Gallmon; hometown friends, Eva Mae Davenport and Louise Jones; the Sulphur Springs family and other relatives and friends.
