Freddy Lee Murphy was born in Madison, FL, on May 19, 1941, to the late Willie Murphy and Pearlie Mae Witt. Freddy Lee Murphy was a paradoxical figure, embodying simplicity amidst complexity. He found solace in solitude, cherishing moments of quiet contemplation. While he held a profound love for his family, he preferred to admire them from a distance, content in his own space. Uninterested in intruding upon others' lives, he likewise welcomed solitude without imposing on others. His respect for the elderly was unwavering, seeing wisdom and experience in their years. Living a minimalist lifestyle, he eschewed material excess, finding fulfillment in simplicity. For Freddy, rest was paramount, a sanctuary for replenishing his energy, and peace was a treasure worth safeguarding above all else.

Freddy was preceded in death by his parents: Willie Murphy and Pearlie Mae Witt; sisters, Dorothy Murphy Devine, Ida Murphy Nixon, Laura Murphy Anderson, Johnny Mae Murphy, Janie Bea Murphy, Mamie Lou Bevel, Lillie Belle Bevel, Ruby Bevel, and Ella Mae Bevel; brothers: Johnny "Mac" Murphy, and James Arthur Bevel; son-in-law, Henry E. Paulk, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his loving: daughter, Kim Paulk; stepson; Roderick Powell; grandchildren, Henry E Paulk III and Haley E. Paulk; step-grandson, Isaiah Powell; great-grandchild, Hendrix E. Paulk; brother, Clinton Murphy; ex-wife, Brenda Mashall; special nieces, Gail Murphy and Padrica Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
