Frederick G.
Campbell, Sr.
July 29, 1968 – October 15, 2025
Affectionately known as "Big Fred", Mr. Frederick Gerard Campbell, Sr. was born on July 29, 1968, in Tallahassee, Florida. He was educated through the Hillsborough County school system and began his vocational training with IBEW Local 915 during high school, a commitment he carried proudly throughout his career. Fred dedicated over 25 years of service to Seminole Electric, where he was known as a respected and hardworking professional. His passion for electrical work was matched by his love for travel, fishing, golf, mentoring others, and exploring new culinary experiences. Fred lived life with enthusiasm and purpose, always seeking joy in everyday life and sharing it generously with those around him. A devoted family man, Fred cherished his loved ones deeply. He was the heart of family gatherings, serving as the travel coordinator for global adventures, the grill and smoke master at cookouts, and a constant source of support and encouragement. His warmth, humor, and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew him. One of Fred's greatest joys was traveling with his beloved parents, Dr. Leonard Jr. and Mrs. Sarah Campbell. He was raised in a household led by two dedicated professional educators, Fred developed a deep appreciation for learning, family, and the value of shared experiences, and spending time with his brothers, Jeffrey (Belinda) Campbell and Leonard Campbell III. His legacy of love, laughter, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, coworkers, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his step-son, Tyrone Miller, Jr.
Fred is survived by his son, Frederick G. Campbell, Jr.; stepchildren, Courtney McSwain and Bresha McSwain; granddaughter, Khalise' Deion Campbell; He also held a special place in the lives of his godchildren, Kayvious Campbell and Brian Ross Jr. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins who will forever cherish his memory and the love he shared so freely.
