Frederick was born on October 9, 1969, in Goulds, Florida, to Leo Patterson, Sr. and Alice Faye Williams.

His favorite activities were listening to music, cooking, traveling, and social events.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Patterson, Sr.; brothers, Leo Patterson, Jr. and Ulysses Patterson; and grandparent, Arthur Williams, Katherine Wright Williams, and Virginia Patterson.

He leaves precious memories with his companion, Sonia Inoa; children, Frederick Patterson, Jr., Chasity Horne, and Rocky Horne; mother, Alice Faye Williams; brothers, Phillip W. Williams, Andre L. Williams, George Williams, David E. Patterson, and Willie J. Patterson; sisters, Kathy E. Williams (Donald), Shirley J. Walker, May F. Pennington, and Patricia A. Platts (Anthony); aunts, Hattie Mae Patterson, Johnnie Willis, and Grace Galloway; special friend, Vikki Spivey; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and loving relatives.
