A Homegoing Service for Mr. Garland Vincent Coleman, Jr., of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020, will be held on Saturday, August 8th, 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Highland Pines, 4711 E. 21st Ave., Pastor Cleveland Lane, officiating. The interment will be in Restview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Vincent Coleman Jr., affectionately known as 'G-Man' was a native of Tampa, Florida, born October 30, 1953 to the late Garland and Betty Coleman. He was reared in the Sulphur Springs area and attended Hillsborough County schools. Garland also served in the United States Army.
G-man took pride in Loving his wife and children. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart and he let it be known how proud he was to be called 'Papa'. Garland was a simple man that loved to sit on his porch and play the Lottery. G-man knew no stranger. He was well known in the Sulphur Springs community by the young and old. He was preceded in death by twosisters, Lisa and Beverly and 1 brother, Bernard Garland.
He leaves to celebrate his life and share precious memories: a loving and devoted wife, Eunice Coleman; three daughters, Stephanie (Avery), Kimberly, Erica (George); oneson, Roderick; onesister, Regina; threebrothers, Ronald (Brenda), Michael (Ruby), Marc (Latoya); onegranddaughter, Chloe; sevengrandsons, Tymoie, Benyon, Camryn, Anthony, Carmello, Ashton, and Noah; fiveaunts, Gloria (Roxbury Ma), Bettye, Carolyn, Beverly and Elsie; sister-in-law, Diana (Cleveland); 11 nieces, Tamika, Lisa, Tyesheia, Shonique, Shericka, Markeisha, Joenisha, Sytidra, Marshalle, Quantiara and Ayanna; sixnephews, Omar, Eric, Michael Jr, Yvon, Marc Jr, Eugene; other relatives and special friends, Jerry Marshall, James Merritt, Michael Jackson, Scott Thomas, Samuel Ellison (Stick), Kavin Holloway, David White (Big Man), JC LongArms, Chandler/Philon family, the Jones family, Woodard family, Brown family, Charlie Lee (Cold Dawg),the entire Sheppard family, Peacock, family, Thomas family, Marilyn Streeter, and Kelvin Goldsmith.
There will be a private family visitation at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 7th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
