Geneva Glover
Denson
January 2, 1938 – January 4, 2026
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7
Geneva Glover Denson, a cherished matriarch, devoted mother, and faithful servant of God, transitioned from this life to her eternal reward. Born in Cordele, Georgia, she was the beloved daughter of the late Charlie Glover and Daisy Brisker Glover. Geneva was the seventh of ten children born to the Glover family. Raised in a home filled with love and the teachings of Christ, she carried those principles with her throughout her life. A devout Baptist, Geneva's life was defined by her unwavering faith and her commitment to her walk with the Lord. She was married to the late Gennie Denson, Jr. (who preceded her in death in 2024), and to this union, they were blessed with one devoted son, Allen Denson, Sr. A woman of profound strength and elegance, Geneva was known for her hospitable heart and the wisdom she shared with everyone who crossed her threshold. After relocating to Tampa, Florida, she became a pillar of her community and a dedicated member of her church family. Her life was a living testimony to the power of family and the importance of keeping one's roots strong in Christ.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Glover and Daisy Brisker Glover; husband, Gennie Denson, Jr.; beloved son, Allen Denson, Sr.; and her siblings: Viola Muldian, Mildred Andrews, Charlie Glover, Jr., Annie Mae Middlebrook, Paul Glover, Bessie Louise Glover, Dave Glover and Otis Glover.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her daughter-in-law, Judia Denson; her grandchildren, Allen Denson, Jr. and Tiffany Greene; great-grandchildren, Aleckxander Denson, Avery Denson, Ameer Denson, Asher Denson, Za'hari Greene, Kha'mari Greene and Ja'cari Greene; her last surviving sibling, Willie James Glover; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the many acts of kindness, prayers and support shown during this time of bereavement. We would like to extend a special thank you to Aviata at Central Park and Accent Care Hospice for taking amazing care of Geneva during her final days. Your compassion and dedication provided our family with great comfort. We also thank Aikens Funeral Home and the Tampa community for their support.
