A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Geneva Rivers Jones of Tampa, who passed away on Wednesday October 18, 2018, will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Blvd., Pastor Rodney Bandy, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Heaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Geneva attended the schools of Clayton, Alabama. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family and loved the Alabama football team, 'Roll Tide'. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Rivers; father, John Hennery Rivers; sisters, Johnnie May Rivers and Doris Rivers; brother, Henry Mack River and husband, Amos Jones. She leaves to cherish her memories with her children, Antonio L Rivers and Tonya L. Rivers; grandchildren, De'Andre A. Williams, Dominique A. Ford, Donovan A., Trent M., Jalissa J., and Iziah Rivers; great grandchildren, Lashae D. and Lilyian D. Williams, Alicya K. Lynch, Peyton and Mihai Rivers and Malachi Holley; aunts, Sweet A. Wilson (Wilbert), Tampa, Louise White (George), and Georgia Lee Deloach (Obie), all of Clayton, AL, and Marie Williams, Tampa; niece, Charlotte C. Rivers, Kennesaw, GA; 4 great nieces; nephews, Anthony McDuffie (Lynette) San Antonio, TX, Eric Rivers, Louisville, AL and Reginald Rivers (Tonia) Yulee, FL; mother-in-law, Mary Colvin, Columbus, MS; 7 great nephews; a host of cousins the Browns, Palmers, Hill, Deloach and Williams families; god-children, Perris Bowers and Jessica McLeoad. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday October 26th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
