Homegoing services for Mr. George B. Coleman, 88 of Tampa who entered into rest on Saturday, October 23, 2010, will be held Wednesday, October 27th, 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street, Rev. Evan Burrows, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Coleman was born on October 25, 1921 in Tampa, Florida. He lived the majority of his life in Syracuse, New York, retiring from Syracuse University after 25 years of service. He was also a businessman. He loved his family and hometown and returned to Tampa, Florida. George was saved early in his life and rededicated his life on October 25, 1992. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of College Hill and served on the Usher Board for many years. He was loved deeply by his family and so many others. He will always be remembered as loving Uncle Geo, to all who knew him. Mr. Coleman was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Georgia B. Coleman. His memory will forever be treasured by his sisters, Annie Bright and Susie Bass; devoted caregivers, Yvonne Bass and Blair Bass; special childhood friends, Rayfield Nix and Lorene Epps; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends
