Homegoing celebration for Mr. George Jewell of Tampa, FL who passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. Greater New Salem P.B. Church, 1605 N. Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, FL with Elder Theodis Lane, officiating. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery. Mr. George Jewell, Jr. was born April 12, 1949 to the late Pauline and George Jewell in Shelby, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by father, George Jewell and uncles, Roosevelt Jewell and William Morris. He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with, son, Kenneth Jewell; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Gerald and Paul Jewell; sisters, Juanita Alexander,Sara Stokes, Barbara Hicks, Gwendolyn Jewell and Eva Jewell; aunt, Ruby Morris; nieces, Kena Baxter, Twanda Rice, Ushwanda Mitchell, Myra Jewell, Miranda Watson, Latisha Jewell, Janie Jewell, Tasha Jewell, Yolanda Jewell, Troylynn Hicks, Nikia Hicks, Katherine Jewell and Diana Hicks; nephews, Anthony Alexander, Keith Alexander, Roshawn, Michael, James, Jermaine and Bernard Jewell, Frederick and Dana Hicks and Gerald Strums; care team, Angie Robinson and Peggy Williams and a host of other relatives and friends.
