Obituary

George Herbert Mount, Jr., father of Sophia, life of the party, firstborn of Renita, his familys very own superman, and a lifelong resident of Tampa, passed away on Friday, September 9th, 2022. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, September 23rd, 11:00 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Elder Alvin Wingfield, officiating.

George was born on March 30, 1984, in Tampa, Florida, to George Mount, Sr and Renita Mount. As a boy, he grabbed the hearts of all who knew him with his love of family, fishing, teenage mutant ninja turtles, video games, and superman. George loved to spend time with his Nana, visiting museums, theme parks, and traveling. As an adult, he became superman; saving his familys various computers and hard drives, and leading security near USF and Armature works, he always made friends along the way.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, David Herbert, and Ida Mae Mount; maternal grandmother, Rudean Brown; and father, George Herbert Mount, Sr.

He leaves precious memories with his daughter, Sophia Rudean Crespo-Mount; mother, Renita Rayner; father, Michael Rayner; sister, Ida Mount; brother, Matthew Rayner; cousin, Charlesetta Arline; uncle, David Mount; aunt, Cheryl Howard; and a host of cousins, family, and friends. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday for the service. We are following CDC guidelines.

The service was streamed live at the Chapel of Hope, Aikens Funeral Home.
