Obituary

Homegoing services for Mr. George Will Scott of Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011 will be held on Saturday, December 10th, 2:00 p.m. at True Believers Christian Center of the Shekinah Glory Ministries, 4116 N. 30th Street Tampa, Florida 33610, with Elder Frank L. Wynn, Jr. Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. George "Scotty" Scott was born December 11, 1944 in Louisiana. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and always told each one "you're granddaddy's baby". He also enjoyed fishing, and laughing through life with no worries. He was a man of much wisdom. All of his life he worked hard on the railroad, as a heavy machine operator. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosevelie Green and Johnathan Scott; sisters, Nattie Williams and Erma Williams and brother, James Dorsey. He leaves to cherish his memory; mother of his children, Sharon Crandall; daughters, Chanelle Scott, Lanavia Scott and Valencia Hopps; son, Johnathan Scott; god daughter, Serena Marshall; grandchildren, Kiwana Scott, Jason Scott, Ilazavius Hardy, Kimberly Dale, Jalaya Scott, Johnathan Scott, Jr. and Marnecia; sisters, Martha George and Christine Graves; brother, Robert Scott; a host of nieces and nephews; and other wonderful relatives and friends, Mayo family and special thanks to the Hopps family. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
