Mrs. Georgia Mae Sherman of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016, will be held on Saturday, March 5th, 10:00 a.m. at Faith Temple M.B. Church, 2916 Orient Road, Rev. Eric Campbell, pastor officiating. The Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Georgia Sherman was born in Amsterdam, Georgia on March 26, 1923. She was a member of New Bright and Morning Star M.B. Church where she served on the Mother's Board. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and attending church. She was preceded in death by her son, Cornelius Sherman; daughters, Lillier Bryant and Sarah Barkley; granddaughter, Renee Holmes and grandson, Curtis Johnson, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories with her children, Ethel Walden, Clifford Sherman, Bessie Davenport, Curtis Johnson, Linda Sherman, Isaac Reynolds and Phil Barkley; grandchildren, Sharon, Todd, Elgin, Wanda, Clifford, Jr., Phaedra, LaTasha, Roddrick, LaShonda, Shonquita, Franterria, Shanethia, Phil, Rico and Chiquita; great grandchildren, Selena, DeJohn, John, Isaac, Tiajuana, Dexter, Leanisha, Marquise, Quanteshia, Kelvin, Daryl, Partheo, Joshua, Charlene, Dreama, Torrie, Jearlisa, Wakeen, Kayla, Lejuan, Jabal, Jubal, Johnniqa, LaDaisha, Rolando, Roddick, Jr., Quenesha, Quoddre, Roddre, Roziah, Ver'shyia, Ziare, Jeremiah, Ja'Siyah and Em'brielk; great great grandchildren, Me'Khi, Quinton, Derrica, Jaquez, Al'Niya, James, Dayshawn, Jahiem, Marquise, Jr., Ajahie, Ja'quavis, Sergio, Earl, Keniylo, Jenay, I'Zayiah, Sir Isaac, Jahlear, Dalenia, Kermeron, Triston, Dontrly, Dorian, Dariesha, Deliyah and Roddrick III; godchildren, Franshon Butler and Tim Sloan; brothers, J.C. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 4th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive guest from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
