Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Georgian Bush Hobley of Tampa, Florida, who passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011, will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope M.B. Church, 3005 E. Ellicott Street, Tampa, Reverend Dr. T.W. Jenkins, Pastor. Reverend Alvin Bush, Pastor, Peace M.B. Church, Gretna, Florida, will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Hobley was born in Gretna, Florida, and was a long-time resident of Tampa. She retired from Singleton Seafood Packing Company after being employed there for 36 years. She loved spending time with her family and helping others. She was saved at an early age and spent much of her life serving others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Charlie Bush and Nellie Kelly Bush (Quincy, FL); her husband, Mr. David Hobley Jr. (Tampa); sisters, Johnnie Mae Bush Lowe and Mary Bush (Quincy), Fronie Bush Massey (Tampa), Luenez Bush Hobley (Tampa); brothers, Anderson Bush (Quincy), and Hollie Bush, Sr. (Greensboro). Mrs. Hobley leaves loving memories with her two devoted daughters, Mary Ann Hobley (Tampa) and Annette Hobley Williams (Quincy); grandchildren, Katrina Williams, Artis Williams, Jr., and Dakeryia Turner, all of Tampa; great grand children, Malachi Ford and Elijah Ford; goddaughters, Sharon Reese (Jonathan), Debbie Nellon (Randy), Lula Powell; god grandchildren, Jhane Smith, Janiya Reese, and Jonathan Reese; sisters, Inez Bush Booth, Annie Bush, Ruth Bush Wright, and brother, Reverend Alvin Bush, all of Quincy, Florida; sisters-in-law Louise Hobley Graham, Minnie Hobley, Addie Harrison, Gracie Mae Walker, Mattie Hobley, all of Tampa and Ella Mae Dixon (Quincy); brothers-in-law, Ira Hobley (Tampa)and Reverend Raymond Hobley (Quincy). Other relatives include a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; close and dear friends include, Ira Mae Ellison, Doretha Mitchell, Dorothy Burden, Vernell Young, Nellie Crews, Inez Rucker, members and friends of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home, Friday May 6th from 5:00-8:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 5-6 pm. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church at 1:45 p.m. for the service on Saturday.
