Homegoing celebration for Mr. Gerald Eric George who passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, will be held Saturday, June 21st, 11:00 a.m. at People for Christ Ministry, 10511 Main Street, Thonotosassa, FL, Apostle Dr. Thomas Hadden, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Gerald was born September 28, 1961 in Tampa, FL to William George and Lois Cromoty. He loved to cook, grilling ribs and chicken on his grill in the backyard. He loved being with his friends and talking about the Bucs, his favorite team and kidding with his cousin about the Pittsburgh Steelers and loved watching basketball games. He leaves to cherish his memories with: mother, Lois Cromoty; brother, Bruce George; sisters, Beryl Myles (Vernon), Carmen George, Marcia Ross (Latarus) and Victoria Lee (Johnny); aunts, Linda Bennett (Spencer), Elsie Hires (Freddy), Carolyn Hernandez (Charles) and Beverly Wright (Jimmy); uncles, Morris Coleman (Betty), Alfred Hills (Sarah) and Anthony Hills; nieces, Tiffany Ballard, Erika Quinn, Jasmine Cromoty, Ciera Frazier and Shaquille Simmons; nephews, Angelo Prawl, Tevin Ross, Brandon Campbell, D'Andre Rivers, Carlton Quinn and Aydan Pickens; cousins, Lashonda Wright, Sonja Sanford (Donald), Sharon Williams (Emanuel), Carlos LaGrand, Ashley and Ron Sanford and Ben Foster; friends, Valarie Dennis, Freddie Miller, Roland Ebron, D'Andre Weaver, Barry McNish, Barbara Kinzy, Debra Harris, Mike, Tony and Ruby Harrington; special friends, all the maintenance department employees of Hillsborough County and other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held Friday June 20th at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
