Funeral service for Ms. Gina W. L. Smith who passed away, Sunday, September 5, 2010, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 18th at the New Hope M.B. Church, 3005 E. Ellicott Street, Rev. T. W. Jenkins, officiating. Ms. Gina Smith was born in Tampa, Florida, on December 13, 1961. She was a Baptist and enjoyed writing poems, cooking and dancing. She was preceded in death by her father, Raliegh Re'che Smith. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Danielle Nelson, Aceneth Arriaga and Edna Iesha Arriaga; grandchildren, Ja'Siyah Phillips; mother, Edna Hardy; grandmother, Rose Johnson; brothers, Robbie Johnson and Lensy Hardy, Jr.; aunts, Mary Limehouse, Minnie Green, Clydie Mae Rainey and Altamese Simpson, uncles, D-Right Denson and Charles Simpson; nieces, Lensy and Asia Hardy; cousins, Denise Limehouse and Thomas Simpson, Yvette, Alton, Leonard, Rotonda, Tammie, Larry, Jr., Demetris, Demetris (Candi) and Oren Denson and Edward and Pat Johnson; friends, Lillian "Nita" Hodgson Woodall, Odessa, Nita Davis, Dent Davis, Linda Jo, Jerry McClavin, Kim Russell, Clayton Foster, Penny Luke, Gregory Woodall, John Robinson, Debbie Smith, K-K and May Francis; special friends, Jeffery M. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 17th from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday at 10:45 a.m.
