Gladys was born March 12, 1944, in Fort Valley, Ga. to John and Mattie Howell Brady. She grew up in Medina, New York where she graduated from Medina Central High School in 1963. Gladys retired from Honeywell, Inc., on April 1, 1999, after 31 years of service, where she was truly adored by her peers & co-workers. She was preceded in death by her father, John Brady, Mother, Mattie Howell-Smalls, and Brother, Willie Joe Bryant. She leaves to cherish her memories: Her loving & dedicated husband, Delbert Johnson; Children: Her devoted & loving daughter, Lenora Lozano, Sons: Michael Hicks, & Jeffrey Brady; Grandchildren: Brittany S. Wright & Jose Lozano; Great-grandchildren: Sariyah Mathis, Travis V. Mathis, Jr., and Trenton Mathis, all of Tampa, FL. sisters and brothers: Rosalyn Bryant Wilkerson (Arthur), Debra & Lavern Smalls, Sharon Smalls Tolbert (Joseph), Rhonda Smalls, Grady Smalls, Jr., Shonda Smalls Saunders (Phillip), Velva Smalls Clethen (Kevin) & Lori Smalls. Cousin: Shirley Jones, of Texas. Gladys & Shirley grew up in Medina, NY, where they shared a sisterly bond. Gladys cherished their relationship & close bond. Stepdaughter: Penny Johnson; Brother In Law: John Johnson; Sisters In Law: Christina Yarber (Charles) and Nicole Johnson, all of Cleveland, TN. Pets: Grand Dog "Sofie" & Doggie Daughter "Tierra" And a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends, & loving family members. Gladys was a member of Mission Hill Church. She kept God first. and was a praying woman. Gladys was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost in October 1989. She had a loving spirit and a strong love for animals since childhood. She enjoyed many activities like thrifting, cooking, gardening, and collecting old family. photos/knickknacks. Gladys loved nature and family gatherings. She brought a smile to everyones face when she entered the room. She will be missed tremendously.
