Gloria Jean Edge, n Westbrook, was born November 30, 1938 in Ashburn, Georgia, where she grew up. She was the youngest of four children and later became the loving mother of eight children, whom she raised in Tampa and Fort Lauderdale. Gloria was a gifted singer, an excellent cook, and an exceptional mother. She was known for her incredible faith and trust in the Lords provision, which served as an example and a solace to everyone around her. She was deeply generous and gave with a cheerful heart. Those who knew her would say that she never knew a stranger, because everyone she met became her friend.


Gloria was reunited with other departed loved ones including her parents, Mary Lou "May Lou" and Clemen "Honey" Westbrook, her sister, Kitty Handspike, and her sons, Mark Edge, Ronald Edge, and Andre "Red" Edge.


She will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by her brothers, Larry Westbrook and Ricky Westbrook, and her children, Doris Alexander (Anthony), Michael Edge (Kaaren), Herregga "Dino" Edge (Nita), Christopher Edge, and Yvonne Edge. Her memory will be carried on by her grandchildren, Todra Anderson, Lateshia Glass (Darrell), Theneshia Anderson, Alexus Edge, Nicholas Edge, Angelica Hewitt (Anthony), Anastasia Edge-Henson (Brandon), Blake Edge, Tyler Edge, Kyle Edge, Brice Edge, Anthony Edge, and Clarque Brown, and a host of great and great-great grandchildren. Gloria enjoyed spending time with loved ones, shopping at her favorite thrift stores, eating a good meal, and making her grandchildren laugh. She provided comfort to and encouraged the faith of many. Gloria was deeply loved and richly blessed, and her family wishes her rest and peace with the Lord.
