Gloria was born on March 30, 1946, in Tampa, FL to Lewis and Jettie Smith. Known for her loving, kind, and caring nature, she touched the lives of those around her with her quiet strength and warmth. She is a graduate of Howard W. Blake Senior High School, and spent her life in Tampa, the city she called home.

Gloria found joy in simple pleasures. She was an avid reader who cherished time spent with a good book. Her love of gardening brought beauty to her surroundings and peace to her days. She also enjoyed solving word searches and was a devoted sports fan who rarely missed a game.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bobby Smith; son, Andre Finch; and grandson, Isaiah E. Brooks. She leaves cherished memories to her children, David Finch, Chanda Y. Finch, and Darla Finch-Saunders (Elliott, Sr.); bonus daughter, Lashawn Chisholm; grandchildren, Jeremie Finch, Elliott G. Saunders, Jr., Cameron Saunders, TaShawn Powe, Symone Sweet, Jamillah Cannon, Jasmine Finch, Chantanae Finch, and Cynthia E. Brooks; great-grandchildren, nephews, Ezell Lester, Jr. and Desmond Jones; nieces, Carla Jones and Shavonda Finch; cousins, Patrese Canty, Renita Canty, Dave Ziggler, Jr. and Darren Canty; as well as a host of other relatives.
