A Graveside celebration of life for Mrs. Gloria J. Hartsfield Hicks, ofTampa, Florida, is being held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 12 noon.

Gloria was born February 12, 1934 to the late Timothy Hartsfield and Hazel Williams. She attended school in Tampa, Florida and graduated from Middleton High School, class of 1951. Gloria accepted Christ at an early age. She met and married the love of her life, Broadus Hicks of 68 years. They both became members of St. Paul AME Church, under the pastorate of Rev. Leroy Kennon. Gloria served as an usher faithfully. She was employed as a teacher's assistant at Jackson Heights Elementary, Robert E. Lee Elementary and Seminole Heights Elementary Schools, until her retirement in 1996.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Gloria leaves her fond memories withher children;Michael Hicks, Sr. (Delonia), Debra McBride, Broadus G. Hicks, Cathy J. Hicks, Janice Williams (John, Sr.); grandchildren, Cynthia Hicks, Michael Hicks, Jr. (Cleshauna), Derrick Hicks, Sr., Antonio Hicks (Nicole), Ricco Hicks (Shatoria), Rashad Hicks (Wanda), John Williams, Jr. (Valerie) and Olivia Williams; sister, Sheila McPhaul; brothers, Billy McPhaul and Larry McPhaul; and a host great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. The family extends aspecial thank you to Atrium Gardens and Advent Health Hospital.

The family will meet at the cemetery the day of the service.
