Gloria Santiago, affectionately known as “Booby,” was born on March 15, 1957, in Cuthbert, Georgia, to the late Richard A. Robinson and Melissa Elizabeth Davis. She attended Gary Adult High School and was known for her loving spirit, strong personality, and generous heart. Gloria found great joy in cooking and caring for others. She especially loved feeding people and teaching her family how to cook at home, creating lasting memories around the kitchen table. Her warmth and hospitality touched everyone who knew her. She was caring, feisty, and giving; a woman who would truly give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. Gloria believed in speaking honestly and standing firm in her truth. One of the sayings she lived by was, “Call a spade a spade,” a reflection of her straightforward and genuine nature. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard A. Robinson and Melissa Elizabeth Davis; grandson, Tyjah Brown. 

She leaves cherished memories to her daughter, Cynthia Davis (Tommy); grandchildren, Kevianna Williams and Tariq Brown; great-grandchildren, Jahnai Noles and Karter Williams; brothers, James Davis, Sr. (Cheryl), Herbert Scott Davis and Calvin Lockhart (Wanda); sisters, Debra Davis, Olivette Davis, Linda Davis, Cynthia Davis- Griffith of Clearwater, FL and Brenda Scott (Kenneth); and a host of nieces , nephews and family near and far. best friends, Erinstine Miller and Tracy. Gloria’s love, wisdom and unforgettable spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
