A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Gregory Morris Everett, also known as "The Chosen One", who passed away on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021, will be held on Saturday, September 25th, 11:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church, 5914 78th St, Tampa, FL 33619, with Pastor Thomas Heyward, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Gregory Morris Everett was born on January 8, 1959, in Tampa, Florida to Morris Everett and Jacquelyn Everett. His hobbies included performing, singing, dancing, and reading, and his favorite color was navy blue. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Percy and Nora Everett, Willie Jack and Marietta Johnson; sister, Desiree Everett; uncles, Earnest Everett, Willis Everett, Sr., Arthur Everett, Jessie Everett, Roosevelt Everett, Ed Everett, and Earnest Clark; aunts, Alice Lee Davis, Annie Murl Cole, Mary Lou Davis, Lula Everett, Helen Everett, and Sallye Everett; godbrother, Bernard McAllister. He is survived by his daughters, Tashina L. Perry, Nicolette Everett Kennedy, LaToya R. Everett, Shaniquea Marshall; son, Gregory M. Everett, II (Christie); grandchildren, Arinesha Young, Javeon Morice, Dominic Kennedy, Jacobi Kennedy, Janiya Kennedy, Marshay Green, Reshay Allen, Gregory M. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 24th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service. We are following CDC guidelines.
