Gregory was born October 21, 1954, to the late Leroy Rouse and Lisa Gomez. He loved the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, fishing, and playing cards. He accepted his Lord and Savior at an early age.

He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Leroy, Jr. and Curtis Rouse; and special friend Valerie. He leaves to cherish his memory, children Gregory D. Rouse, Gregory A. Rouse Jr. (Jennifer), Gretissia Brown, and Kizzy Weaver; grandchildren, Tierra, Imani, Jessica, Trystan, Araina, Deundra, Anthony, Olivia, Sanita, William IV, Jaheim, Desire, Royal and Empress; great-grandchildren, Syriah, Arayah, Kareem, Kenyon, Gregory III, and Levi; mother, Lisa Gomez; step-mother, Helen Rouse and children, Wallace and QuanKela; cousin, Hazel Lewis; very special friend, Doretha Johnson and children Allen, Augusta, and Samuel and grandchildren, Ramika, Saiybrel, Jayven, D'Andre, and Ricardo; special friends, Roland "Sammy" Burton, and Robert "Clean" Baker;
