Mrs. Gussie H. Dennis passed away on Monday, September 6, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 11, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Luke A.M.E. Church, 2709 N. 25th Street, Dr. Walter Lasstier, II, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Dennis was employed as a teacher with the Hillsborough Public School District for 40 years. She taught at the elementary level. Throughout her life, Gussie gave of herself to her family, friends and community. Gussie leaves to cherish her memory and rejoice in her wonderful life... Devoted daughter, Barbara D. White, granddaughter, Carla B. White, sister, Mayme H. Hargrett, nephew, James T. Hargrett Jr. (Berlyn), great niece , Crystal Hargrett, great nephew, James T. Hargrett III (Toyin), great-great nieces, Ava & Symone Hargrett and Payton Johnson, cousins, Edythe H. Hunter of Winter Haven, FL, Josephine Austin (Robert), of Bartow, FL, Alvilda H. Graham of Winter Haven, FL, George M. Greenlee (Ann Marie) and Wilbur H. Greenlee, Bringier R. Tims (Jennifer) of Lake Worth, FL, Joycelyn Tims, Glennis Holmes of Lakeland, FL, and Claudette Dula, of St. Petersburg, Fl., sister-in-law, Katie Carnegie and host of grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home, Friday, September 10th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, September 11th, at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the service begins.
