A Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Gwendolyn A. Strong, of Tampa FL., who passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022, will be held on Saturday, April 23rd, 4:00 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Jacqueline Coffie-Leeks, officiating.

Gwendolyn, affectionately nicknamed "Ippy", was born on October 29, 1963 to Stanley Strong and Wanda Johnson. Upon her passing, she was 58 years young, having resided at 4411 N. Habana Ave., Tampa FL. 33614, Gwendolyn "Ippy" was an original resident of the Sulphur Springs Community. She was preceded in death by her Angel Baby whom has been awaiting her arrival; father, Stanley N. Strong, Sr.; grandmother, Cora V. Johnnson-Williams (Granny); and grandmother, Elizabeth McCoy.

She leaves to bask in the essence of her glorious memory her mother, Wanda Faye Johnson-Strong; sisters, Kennetha Strong, Glenda Strong, and Lalonnie Strong; brothers, Jerald Stone, Sr. (Ernestine), Stanley Strong, Jr., Selwyn Strong (Tonya), and John Strong ("Thats the baby"); an enormous extended family of which includes uncles, Jessie Johnson, Sr. (Ella), Robert Johnson, Sr. (Cordelia), and Calvin Johnson (Mae); aunt, Sandra Roberts; aunt/cousin, Jacqueline Williams; and MANY nieces, nephews, cousins; and special sister/friend, Felicia "Lisa" Bellamy. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, April 22nd, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday for the service. The repast will immediately follow the funeral service.
