Gwendolyn was born October 11, 1956, in Bowling Green, KY, but raised in Nashville, TN, to the late Jesse Earl and Velma Lee Pipkin. Gwen spent her youth as a championed athlete, breaking many records in women's basketball. She was the beloved wife of Rance Albert Webb for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jesse Earl, Jr. and Winford Lee Pipkin. She is survived by her husband, Rance; three children, Nicholle Kynice Davis, Chad Thomas Davis, and Corey Keith Davis; two stepchildren, Brandon Albert Webb, and Jordon Edward Webb; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She also leaves behind extended family in Louisville, KY, Indianapolis, IN, and Tennessee. Gwen was an honored US Navy Veteran, dedicating over 20 years of service to our country, and then later as a defense contractor before retiring in 2010. She was a deaconess at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida, and dedicated her life to serving the Lord. Gwen lived a life marked by generosity, resilience, and an unshakable love for her family and friends.
