Homegoing services for Mrs. Hattie Mae Allen Carr of Tampa, FL who passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 will be held Saturday June 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 4008 C.P. Epps Drive, with Rev. Michael White pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Hattie Mae Allen Carr was born January 8, 1958 in Sardis, GA. She enjoyed helping others and volunteering at the Moffitt Cancer Center. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Allen; brothers, James Aikens and Bobby Allen; aunt, Lorene Covington and great uncle, Marion Covington. Hattie enjoyed her Senior Women's mission at Mt. Olive M.B. Church. She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with children, Hatishia Carr (Jean Marc Joseph) and Lewis Carr, Jr.; grandchildren, Emon Anderson, Josiah Joseph, Aleigha Joseph, Talicia Joseph and Isaiah Joseph; sisters, Marvenia Cox (Nelson White); sister-in-law, Kaileen Allen; aunts Hattie Parker and Lillie Mae Williams; uncles, George Aikens (Kate); nieces, April Cox, Yvonne Cox, Alice Sapp, Ri'naja Cox, Miracle Cox, Obrella Bailey, Jada Aikens and Jamee Aikens; nephews, Kyle Allen, Christopher Cox, James Aikens, Jr.(Moriah), Jocobi Aikens, Jaques Manuel, William Cox, Bernard Walker and Antwon Townsend; cousins, Amy Walker, Mary Covington and Mary Ann Lee (Thomas Lee); goddaughter, Markayla Haynes and Ariyana; friends, Jessie Boman, Charlene, Betty Floyd Johnson and Carol Franklin; and a host of cousins other relatives, friends and Mt. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home Friday, June 14th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the funeral service.
