Obituary

A Celebration of Life servcie for Mrs. Helen Revear 'Duck' of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, will be held on Saturday, October 7th, 11:00 a.m., at The Center for Manifestation Church, 3201 E. Lake Ave., Apostle Mark T. Jones, pastor with Rev. Elouise McCallister, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Helen Revear was born on May 12, 1939 in Williston, Florida to the late Fronia Atkins. She grew up in Florida alongside her sisters, Mabel, Susie, Louise and Jackie. She met her husband, Walter Revear I, in 1956. They married and remained married until Walter passed in December of 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, grandparents, Toby and Belle Zora Jenkins; daughter, Patricia Ann Walsh; sisters, Susie Bennett, Louise 'Jackie' Oliver; great granddaughter, Jasmine Gill; great grandsons, Walter 'JJ' Revear III and Roderick Nelson Vickers. She leaves to mourn her loss: her only surviving aunt, Josephine Sams; sisters, Mabel Preston-Robinson, Louise Duncan; children, Glynn Hagins, Clara 'Niecy' Gill (Leamon, Sr.) of NC, Walter Revear, Jr., (Francina), Sharon Jones (Corey) of NC; Mattie Revear, James Revear I (Lolita), of Washington and Kendra Revear; brother-in-law, Walter Bennett; granddaughters, Shonda Covington (Terry), Angel Watson, Carletta Hughes (English), Kendra 'Shante' Revear, Collette Brim (Carlos), Joyous Williamson, Jevelin Williamson, Alisia Bivens and Eva Revear; grandson, Patrick Mobley, Shermaine Gill, Michael Stewart (Maki), Frederick Gill (Maria), Shawn Stewart, Torrence Gill, Bryan Revear, Quentin Duberry, James Revear II, Dewayne Kelly, Clayton Evans (Crystal), Tony Tolbert, Jeremiah Bivens, Dontavious Rushing, Danzel Bivens, Lawerence Copeland and Kendro Copeland; nephews, Tony Oliver and Prince Revear; special nieces, Daphne 'Joyce' Davis, Sandra 'Renee' Ware, Cynthia Myles and Frannie Buie; special cousin, Ernestine Smith; godchildren, Derby Chambers (Charles), John 'Golly' Ruben, Karen Sanders and Stephanie McDowell; and a host of other family members and sorrowing friends who will dearly miss her. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 6th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet the church on Saturday for the service.
