Obituary

Helen was born on May 28, 1942, in Blakey, Georgia, to Julius Johnson and Emma Ransom.

In 1961, Sister Helen Wade graduated from Washington High School, in Blakey, Georgia. After graduation, she relocated to Tampa, Florida, and met the love of her life, Deacon Milton Wade. They were united in holy matrimony on September 24, 1977, until her death. She worked at Singleton Shrimp Company as a supervisor until her retirement. She joined Highland Missionary Baptist Church in 1968 and was very active in her stewardship in ministry. She was president of several boards, usher board, the deaconess board, bible training union, she reviewed many Sunday school lessons, and sang in the choir when needed. She loved her family and friends and was wise and sharp to the very end.

Sister Helen Wade will be remembered for her comic wit and sarcastic remarks. The family had to forewarn anybody she came across, because of her brutal and abrasive honesty. Helens honesty always came with laughter and fun.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, James Edward Johnson.
