Mrs. Helen Louise Willis

A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Helen Louise Willis of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 will be held Saturday, October 7th, 2:00 p.m. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 3011 E. North Bay St., pastor Reginal T. Webb, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Helen was born June 27, 1946 in Palatka, Florida to the late Nathaniel Timmons and Jessie Lee Channel. Helen enjoyed reading, watching Westerns and she also enjoyed babysitting her great-grandchildren. Helen was a Worthy Matron of Eastern Star Lodge. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hugh Willis and sister, Joyce Marcus. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her children, Dorothy Coston, Cornelia Watson, Christine Watson, Alonzo Jones (Amanda), Janell Stevens (John), James Watson (Melinda) and Kelvin Stewart; grandchildren, Helen (Tywone), Elton (Shakira), Lavonica, Ralph, Greg, Terrance (LaTasha), Dantwon, Alonzo, Jr., Natisha, Ebony, Jacquez, Tereik (Shoni), Terrante, Terranesia, Angelina, James, Jr., Kelvin, Jr., Khaleef, Kendria and Keyondre; a host of great-grandchildren; cousin, Charlie Hall; friends, Pearl Highsmith, the Marcus family, Margie Lovett and VeVe Sotolongo; a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 6th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
