Obituary

Henrietta Patrick was born to the late Columbus Johnson and Ella Mae Taylor, in Miccosukee, FL., on November 25, 1932. She moved to Tampa, Florida as a young adult. Henrietta married Henry Patrick and this union produced their only child, Brenda Patrick. Henrietta received her high school degree from Middleton High School. She was an entrepreneur and was in the restaurant business for approximately 20 years. She owned two successful restaurants and helped her mother run Ella Mae's Diner. After retiring from the restaurant business, she went on to become a Hillsborough County School bus driver. She retired as a technician at United Technologies.

She was baptized at an early age in Lake Miccosukee for St. Paul P.B. Church in Miccosukee, FL. Later while living in Tampa, she became a member of Mt. Moriah P.B. Church, where she served in the choir. Henrietta eventually found her final church home, First Baptist Church of College Hill.

On December 8, 2024, Henrietta Patrick was called home to take her rest with God. She was preceded in death by her father, Columbus Johnson; mother, Ella Mae Taylor; brothers, John Henry Johnson, and Lil' Robert Johnson; and her sister, Callie Thompson.

Henrietta leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted daughter, Brenda Patrick; granddaughter, Michelle Gordon; brothers, Winchester Johnson (Sylvia), Robert Johnson, Jack Johnson (Doretha), and Walter Johnson; sisters, Vineva Payne, Lonnie Lockett, Betty McFadden (John), and Lynn Kelly (Gus); and godson, Samuel Opong Yao; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
