Graveside services for Mr. Henry Lee Smith, Sr., of 2927 Ybor Street, who passed away on Monday, May 7, 2009, will be held Saturday, May 16th, at Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea St., Bishop Leroy Byrd, officiating, Pastor Vermell Graham, assistant. Interment will follow. Mr. Smith was born February 18, 1928, in Tifton, Georgia to the late Robert and Roada Smith. He was one who enjoyed traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Jimmy Lee Smith and Anthony Williams; and granddaughter, Sylvia Smith-Mosley; He leaves to cherish his memories: a special companion, Patricia Pierce; children, Edna Mae Stanley, Harvis Pierce, Lucille Smith, Frank Howard, Shelia Williams, Vernon Madison, Laquina Pierce, Latrice Pierce, Shaka Pierce, Clennie Pierce, Aubrey Pierce, Sr. and Demetrius Pierce, all of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Jimmy Horton, Tequila Smith, Marty Green, Maria Reed, Aubrey Pierce, Jr. and Ashley Brown, all of Tampa, FL; sister, Bessie Smith, of Tampa, FL; and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 15th, from 5 to 8 p.m. All family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery approximately 10:45 a.m. Saturday for the service.
