Homegoing services for Mr. Henry Boone, Sr. who passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009, will be held Saturday, October 17th, 12:00 p.m., Glorious Church of God In Christ, 4701 E. Hanna Avenue, Dr. Charles L. Kennedy, pastor (eulogist) with Elder William C. Lockwood, Sr., officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Henry was born April 19, 1925 in Marianna, Florida and attended the schools in Marianna, Florida and moved to Tampa, Florida in 1941. He was the third child of fourteen children born to Clarence and Catherine Battle Boone, who preceded him in death. He retired from Gardiner, Inc. after 30 years. He was preceded in death by six sisters, Louisa Henderson, Roberta Anderson, Elizabeth Boone, Corine Webb, Neaver Mae Brown and Martha Saunders. He leaves to cherish loving memories a devoted wife of 23 years, Patricia Lockwood Boone; 1 devoted and caring son, Henry Boone, Jr.; 3 devoted and caring daughters, Connie Boone Shaw (Douglas, Sr.), Miami, FL, Katina M. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
