The visitation for Mr. Herbert Askins who passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 will be held Friday, December 26th from 5:00 to7:00 p.m at Aikens Funeral Home. Herbert Askins was born on March 29, 1932 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Willie Askins and Martha Jackson. He was educated in the school system of Florence County, South Carolina. Herbert then moved to Tampa, Florida in the late 1950's where he became well known as a business man until he became ill. Herbert departed this life on Thursday, December 18, 2014. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Jackson and Father Willie Askins. He leaves to cherish his memories with 1 son, Marco Askins of Tampa, FL; 7 step-children, Diane Alexander, Johnnie Wade, Angle Wade and Martha Watson all of Tampa, FL, Charlie Wade and Ruby Wade of Perry, FL and Rosa Wade of Miami, FL; 2 close friends, Willie Robinson of Bradenton, FL and Benjamin Agers of Tampa, FL and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at the wake on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 5 to 6 p.m.
