A Homegoing Celebration for Herbianna 'Herbi' James of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 will be held on Saturday, December 5th, 12:00 p.m.., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tampa, Florida, Pastor Les White, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Herbianna was born September 18, 1993 in Tampa, Florida and was a graduate of Hillsborough High School. 'Bianna' or 'Herbi' as she was affectionately called, was an incredibly talented and well-known hair stylist specializing in braids. Her passion for braiding hair started at the tender age of 7 years old. By the age of 8, she was getting paid to do hair in her community. She was highly respected and known by her peers in the cosmetology industry, both locally and nationwide. Herbi continued braiding hair until she became ill. Herbi loved her clients and her clients loved her, she did not just build a business, she built lasting relationships. Long live 'Styles by Herbi'.
Herbianna James was preceded in death by her loving mother, Berthina Rollins and her loyal and loving maternal grandmother, Bernice Rollins.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories with her one and only adorable son, Aston Bradley; father, Herbert James, Jr.; sisters, Heriyah James and Makayla James; grandparents, Phyllis Wright (Freddie) and Herbert James, Sr.; uncles, Barkedo Rollins, Kirk Jackson, Renaldo James(Rhonda), and Keavis Kenon; aunts, Berdina Rollins (Ron), Tammy James-Horton (Casey), LaShawda Kenon, DeAndra James, LaTammie James, Shayla Coleman, and Joi James; niece, Nevaeh Marie Toole; son's father, Andre Bradley; special family, Reca Grayes, Takeiah McKay, and Joyce Waring; god-mother, Keisha Tillman; special friends, Kichna, Teria McCall, Ronesia Latrionna, Kimiah, Tynisha, Freddrickia, Lashawn, Jamesha, Mikkieria, Jakiyah and Shaderia, She also leaves to mourn a host of special cousins, family and friends who dearly loved her and who will forever hold her memory close to their heart. Please know that you are all acknowledged and loved by the family and are not forgotten.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, December 4th, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines. The services will be live-streamed at www.aikensfuneralhome.com website.
