A Homecoming Celebration for Mr. Herman Williams, Sr. of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 will be held on Saturday, February 29th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Tampa, FL, Rev. Timothy Lancaster, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Herman was born on March 10, 1942 in Tampa, Florida. He was a member of The Rock of Escape Church. He was also a member of the Tampa Park Apartments Community Committee. He retired from the International Longshoreman Association working as a supervisor for 35 years for the local union #759. He was a kind hearted person and a devoted father. He was well loved in his community and supported those in need. In his free time, he loved watching football and western shows. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Annie Floyd Williams; brothers, William Davis, Rudolph Williams, Eldren Smith, Henry Davis and twin brother, Herbert Williams and aunt, Dorothy Newton 'Dot'. Her leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories with his wife, Lillie Mae Williams; children, Rudolph Williams, Sr. (Catherine), Herman K. Williams (Sal), Algernon Williams, Herman Williams, Jr., Chinetta Williams, Annetta Bryant and Eva Orvet Martin (Cheno); grandchildren, Keonna Broussard, Dewanna Broussard, Tashana Martin, Herman Williams III, Andrew Bryant. Jr., Crystal Harris, Otis Green, Jr. Chantavia Limehouse, Freddie Martin III, Sherman K. Williams, Herman K. Williams, Jr., Johnny Williams, Derrick Williams, Temika Williams, Rudolph Williams, Jr. and Yvonne Williams; a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Eva Davis and Mary Francis Williams; apartment manager and friend, Yolanda Anthony; best friend, James Freeman; and all of his Tampa park friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 28th from 5 to 7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the Chapel on Saturday for the service.
