Horace was born on April 21, 1943, in Starke, FL to Jesse and Leola Guion. Horace was an Army retiree who enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, as well as crosswords but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He and his wife raised three daughters.

He was preceded in death by wife, Daisy Mae; father, Jesse; mother, Leola; granddaughter, Candace Shanial Lopez; sisters, Gloria Jean Guion, Elnora Holsendolph; brothers, Leroy and Theodore.

He leaves cherished memories to daughters, Celia Lopez, Demetria Guion, and Tabatha Guion; grandchildren, Dionte Guion, and Marcial Lopez; brothers, Jesse (Minnie), Willie Telfair Guion (Mary), Robert Lee Guion (Daisy), Rudolph Guion (Dorothy); sisters, Katherine Lee, Patricia Baker, and Eloise Butler (John); along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
