Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Hosea Richardson who passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015, will be held Wednesday, March 25th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. M.L.K. Jr. Blvd. The interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Hosea Richardson was of the Baptist faith and a former member of New Bethel M.B. Church. He enjoyed fishing, barbequing and shooting pool. He worked as a mail handler for the U.S. Postal service for many years. Hosea was also a WWII Veteran for the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by parents, Hosea Richardson, Sr. and Zeola Lacey; wife, Eloise Richardson and children, Gloria Hopkins and Hosea Richardson III; sister, Bessie Sutton and brothers, Matthew Richardson and James Richardson. He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with children, Annie Grace Carrington (James), Catherine Williams (Mark), Willie Richardson (Linda), Carlton Richardson (Molly), Charlene Lawrence (Jeff) and Telecia Richardson; grandchildren, Michelle, Shalanda (Torrey), Willie, Jr., Vanessa, LaTasha (Kenneth), James, Jr., Christaveous, Dennard (Joshala), Tiffany (Jerome), Joshua, Savanna, Kim, Lisa and Laura; great grandchildren, Jessica, Monique, Kenescia, Malachi, Ravaughn, Ahmad, Nehemiah, Jaxon, Mia, Aleah, Macaila, Justin, Chris, Coby, Jarnecia and Casey; aunt, Sarah Lacey; son-in-law, Jimmy Hopkins; neighbors, Jean and Gary Johnson, Robert Troup, Alberta Reed, Illocia Gay, Alvin (TJ) Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. James McClendon and Thelma Anderson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home 1 hour prior to the service. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Wednesday for the service.
