Homegoing services for Mr. Hosie Taylor of Tampa, who passed away, Friday, February 12, 2010, will be held on Saturday, February 20th, 9:00 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. MLK Blvd, Rev. Jerome Griffin, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Hosie was born March 2, 1935 in Marianna, Florida. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susie Taylor; father, Jimmy Taylor; two brothers, John and James Taylor; and two sisters, Emma Smith and Lucille Grace. He is survived by his wife, Maeonia Taylor; four stepsons, Rev. David Porter and wife, Susan, Frederick Porter and wife, Linda, William Porter and Marshall Porter; one stepdaughter, Edna Porter and Mark; grandchildren, Keaira Porter Price and Kevin, Ceaira Porter, Derrick Porter, Vince Larrimore, Phillip Porter, Deandre Porter, Andrian Porter and Andrian Sims; sisters, Eldest Pelts of Marianna, Florida and Louise Smith of Greenwood, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. The viewing was held at Aikens Funeral Home on Thursday, February 18th from 3:30 - 7:30 p.m. The family received friends during this time. Family and friends are asked to meet at Aikens Funeral Home by 8:45 a.m. for the service on Saturday morning.
