Obituary

Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Howard Holloway of Tampa who passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014, will be held on Saturday, August 9th, 11:00 a.m. at Church of Christ Highland Avenue, Bro. Darryl Beasley, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Howard was born January 30, 1939 in Tampa, Florida. He attended the local schools of Hillsborough County. Howard enjoyed listening to music, dancing, playing billiards and socializing with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Alma Jane Holloway and sister, Mary Jewel Holloway. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his children, Nathaniel Smith-Holloway (Janice), Donna Holloway-Sanders, Tommie, Michael, Leonard and Billy Richardson, Mildred Williams (Dwayne) and Renee Kemp; grandchildren, Jason Gatlin, Brandon and Bryan Smith-Holloway, Tenesha and Tiffany Smith and Allison Poole (Brian); great grandchildren, Bricorry and bella Noelle Smith; sister, Argelia Williams (Michael); niece, Avalinda Holloway; nephews, Larry Holloway (Theresa) and Ronald Holloway (Christina); great nieces and nephews, Anthony and Howard Smith, Christopher Williams, Wiley Holloway, Larry, Jr., Marjan, and Paige Holloway, Amber and Lindsey Sloan, Ronald, Jr., Shannon and Michael Holloway and Shondre Thomas; special cousins, Diane Sparks, Toni Welbon, the Harp's, Eula Miller, Freddie Blackmon and Priscilla Underwood; dear friend and caregiver, Evelyn Conaway; first wife, Johnnie M. Holloway; special friends, Agnes Judge, Carol Shrimpley, Apostle Johnny Favor, Earl Mosley, Debra Smalls and his Delta Airline family; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends who will miss him. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 8th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
