Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Ida Mae Lloyd who passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 will be held Saturday, September 21st at 11:00 a.m., Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd, Rev. Robert C. Lindsey, officiating with Bro. James Smith, eulogist. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mrs. Ida Mae Lloyd was born September 13, 1924 to the late Riley Williams and Louisanna Blocker in Newark, New Jersey. She was a member of the Nebraska Avenue Church of Christ, Pastor J.T. Smith and the International Order of the Eastern Star. Ida enjoyed spending time with her family, going to church and going to the beauty salon. She was preceded in death by son, Melvin Moore; sisters, Marie Hines and Lillie Stark and brothers, Woodrow Williams and Roosevelt Williams. She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with children, Willie Moore, Jr. (Barbara), James Moore (Macalee), Leroy Moore (Donna) and Robert Moore, Sr. (Gail); grandchildren, Lawanza Moore, Christopher Welcome, Willie A. Moore III, Clint Moore, Lynette Moore,Quinton Moore, Trini Moore, Teresa Moore, Kewanna Moore (Michael), Markitia Robinson, KaDesha Mason , Robert Moore, Jr., and Kasisi Moore; great grandchildren, Chris Welcome (Tallahassee, FL), Neil Welcome, Jazmyne Moore, Chase Moore, Tervarese Blackman, Journei Lindsey, Kelvin McQuay, Melvin McQuay, Anthony Moore, Kenisha Moore, Tiffany Moore, Mercedes Nelson, Michael, Jr. Boone, Mikiese Boone, Mykejah Boone, Demarkus Haggins, Ja'Mario Belton, Ayana Belton and Zariah Mason; sister,Dorothy Lloyd;close cousins, Deloris Ned, Gwen Blocker, Cynthia Blocker, Dorothy Blocker and Andrew Blocker; special friends, Mattie Lumpkin, Yvonne Freeman and Cruz (Robert) Gonzalez and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 20th, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday for the service.
